Ingress took place in a bright daylight sky shortly before sunset. Saturn disappeared at the dark side of the Moon which is completely invisible in the bright sky.

Lunar occultation of Saturn - 03 November 2001

I was lucky to get these shots as it was mostly cloudy. The Moon was badly placed just over the roof tiles of the neighbour's house resulting in terrible seeing. I managed to see the reappearance of Saturn visually in a very small gap in the clouds.
